Zigbee door, temperature and motion sensor

The brennenstuhl®Connect Zigbee devices open up numerous advantages and new possibilities for setting automation and processes. As a communication protocol, Zigbee enables the connection of other smart brennenstuhl®Connect products in a smart home. This connection is ideal for combining brennenstuhl®Connect Zigbee products in automated processes with brennenstuhl®Connect WiFi products.

The Smart Home sensors can be used to trigger entire chains of action. For example, a networked thermostat is able to determine when the windows are open and then automatically reduces the temperature. Thanks to sensors, however, new possibilities are also created for more security within one's own four walls. For example, motion detectors are activated at night and burglars are deterred by lighting.

Advantages of Zigbee products in the brennenstuhl®Connect Smart Home

In addition to WiFi technology, products with Zigbee technology can also be integrated into the brennenstuhl®Connect Smart Home. The brennenstuhl®Connect Zigbee gateway is required for integration into the Smart Home. This serves as an interface for the communication between the Zigbee and the brennenstuhl®connect WiFi world. It is important for the stable connection of brennenstuhl®Connect Smart Home devices to ensure that the 2.4 GHz radio signal is used in the router settings.

Then the brennenstuhl®Connect Zigbee products can be set up as normal via the brennenstuhl®Connect app and intelligent automation and processes can be set up with other Smart Home products.

  • Zigbee devices enable more smart combinations, sequences and automation
  • The main advantage of Zigbee is the minimal power consumption
  • The Zigbee sensors are battery powered
  • This also allows flexible placement in the room

Zigbee sensors for even more smart combinations in the brennenstuhl®Connect Smart Home

Zigbee motion detector

The Zigbee motion detector can be used as a trigger to switch on other brennenstuhl®Connect products. It thus enables the energy-efficient control of other devices, e.g. the brennenstuhl®Connect light bulbs in the hallway or house entrance. Thanks to motion detection, the light is switched on when and where it is needed. The light duration of the bulbs can in turn be controlled in the app.

Zigbee window contact

The Zigbee door-window sensor can be attached to door frames or window frames. It then detects the opening and closing of doors and windows. You are then notified directly on your smartphone about the opening and have an overview of all accesses to your four walls.

Zigbee thermostat

Smart heating is an important topic for all buildings when it comes to saving energy and quickly reducing heating costs. With the Zigbee thermostat, heating periods and the temperature can be easily set and controlled via a timer in the app. This means you don't have to regulate the heating too low throughout the day for fear of high heating costs, which would increase the risk of mould in the home, for example.

Zigbee temperature sensor

The Zigbee temperature sensor detects temperatures as well as humidity. In combination with the Zigbee thermostat, it can be placed at the other end of the room, for example, to ensure that the temperature is regulated as desired throughout the room. It thus protects against unwanted cold.
