Description

For use on construction sites and outdoors, the Professional PRCD-S ADVANCED with 3m protective adapter cable offers a reliable and robust solution to protect the user when using electrical appliances on sockets that are not known to be working properly. Thanks to improved testing for protective conductor interruption from approx. 1kΩ, glove detection (device cannot be switched on in the event of a fault even with insulating gloves) and the comprehensive function test by checking the entire signal chain from protective conductor monitoring to the RCD switching function, safety is further increased. The mobile personal protection system is extremely robust thanks to the oil-resistant 3m rubber cable (H07RN-F 3G1.5) and the rubber earthed plug and rubber earthed coupling with cover. The mobile personal protection also impresses with the following features:

RCD personal protection switch

An RCD (residual current circuit breaker) is an electrical protective device that is primarily used to protect against electric shocks. The RCD recognises the difference between the incoming and outgoing current in a circuit and automatically switches off the circuit in the event of a residual current. When used for personal protection, a residual current device must trip and interrupt the circuit at a residual current of 30mA at the latest.

Switch-on error detection (glove detection)

The brennenstuhl® PRCD-S Advanced cannot be switched on when switched on with strong insulation, e.g. by wearing a glove.

Low-resistance protective conductor monitoring

Only connections below approx. 1 kO are accepted - reliable protection against high-impedance, unsafe contacts.

Extended test functions

In addition to the prescribed residual current test, the protective conductor monitoring is tested for interruption and voltage detection.

After successful switch-on, the switching status indicator lights up red, signalling voltage at the output of the PRCD-S Advanced

Protected against foreign bodies and splash water
